Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by profihost GmbH, Hildesheimer Straße 25, 30880 Laatzen, Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with profihost under Art. 28 GDPR.
Each time a page is opened, your browser automatically sends information that the server records in log files: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, the referring page, browser type and version, and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it stable and secure. It is not combined with other data sources.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the technically error-free and secure operation of the website. Log files are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for these purposes.
Fonts
The fonts used on this website are stored on our own server. No connection to external font services is made.
Booking enquiries by email
The booking link opens your email program with the address contact@scope-events.com. Messages sent to this address are received by Scope Events, which handles booking enquiries for Paul Parker®. The details you provide, such as your name, email address, event date, venue and message, are used only to answer and process your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into a contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in all other cases. Your data is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with in full, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Links to SoundCloud and MixCloud
The homepage links to a profile on SoundCloud and to a profile on MixCloud. These are plain links, not embedded players, so no data is sent to either service when you visit this website. If you follow a link, the privacy policy of the service you open applies: SoundCloud (opens in a new tab), MixCloud (opens in a new tab).
Jingle and local storage
The homepage plays a short jingle. The audio file is stored on our own server, so nothing is requested from a third party and no data about you is passed on.
Two small entries are kept in your browser’s local storage, not as cookies: one notes that the jingle has already played during your current visit, the other remembers it if you switch the sound off, so it stays off. Both entries stay on your device, are never transmitted, and can be removed at any time through your browser settings. They exist only to carry out the settings you choose while using this website.
Encryption
This website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” at the start of the address in your browser.
Your rights
You have the right of access to your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16), to erasure (Art. 17), to restriction of processing (Art. 18) and to data portability (Art. 20). To exercise these rights, contact us using the details above.
Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
